It definitely can be fixed by wiping the data for just Samsung Keyboard (no factory reset needed). I just wanted to post this information to help whoever has this issue next. I'm wondering if clearing the data from the Android menu a second time would have worked. And sometimes those predictive words will show youre personal such as your Email and Password and you dont want to show your personal things to someone who is. The combination of accurate prediction and gestures allow you to focus on the text you are actually typing not the keyboard. Then< and select Smart Typing and you should be. Install if any, then go to Manage Input Languages (same screen) and select your prefered language (s). As a result many of the technologies developed in BlindType are reinvented in Fleksy. If Predictive Text is greyed out after Android update, while the keyboard in on screen (in any app), tap the cog symbol > Language and types > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Check for Updates. I'm not sure why Titanium Backup!'s "Wipe Data!" worked better than the "Clear Cache/Clear Data" from the Android settings menu. Fleksy is made by the creators of the alternative keyboard BlindType that was acquired by Google. When the autofill shows you the learned words just above your keyboard click and hold the word that you want your Samsung to unlearn and you will get a pop up asking you to delete it. I tried just about everything, but the only way I could get it back was as follows: (please note I am rooted)ġ) Switch default keyboard to something elseģ) Browse to the "Samsung Keyboard" app and "Wipe Data!"Ĥ) Switch back to Samsung Keyboard and the ribbon is back! :) Deleting Samsung Autofill ( learned words ), Open browser and choose a letter. No matter what I did I could not get it back. Therefore, I used the system's application manager to clear cache and data. In my case I had a bunch of words I didn't want and didn't realize there was the options to reset the learned words. Other new Android TV features include: Keyboard updates: New layouts and support for text-to-speech input and predictive typing.
